Agents package installation on Linux

Resilio Connect supports installing Deb and RPM packages, see the corresponding installation guide below. Once the agent is installed, retrieve agents config file from Management Console (from settings tab), name it sync.conf and manually put in to /etc/resilio-agent folder.

On systemd init systems use systemctl enable/start/stop/disable/ status calls to manage the agent service.
On sysvinit, upstart systems use service start/stop/restart/ status calls.

Agent will create"rslagent" user and run with it. New directory "/home/rslagent/Resilio Connect Agent" will be used as default %DOWNLOADS% folder storage path macro. For other Path macros see here. On systemd init system here is also option to launch it with current user, not rslagent, see below.

For Debian-based Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, Zorin, Elementary)

Create file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/resilio-agent.list with the following content to register Resilio repository:

deb resilio-agent non-free

Add public key with the following command:

wget -qO - | sudo apt-key add -

Update your repository and install the agent:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install resilio-agent

For RPM-based Linux

Create file /etc/yum.repos.d/resilio-agent.repo with the following content to register Resilio repository:

name=Resilio Agent $basearch

Add public key:

sudo rpm --import

Install Agent:

sudo yum install resilio-agent

To launch agent with the current user follow the instruction:

1) manually create folder /home/username/.config/resilio-agent/
2) retrieve agents config from Management console, name it sync.conf and put into this directory
3) edit file /usr/lib/systemd/user/resilio-agent.service and change "" to "". Save.
4) run command
systemctl --user enable resilio-agent

Use start/stop/enable/disable/status calls to manage the service.
