Error message appeared in Resilio Active Everywhere with shared locks feature. For the file locks to be propagated across the Agents in the job, a lock server must be selected. It manages and distributes all the locks metadata. All Agents using the functionality must have direct or proxy connection to the lock server.
The error message appears in the following cases:
- the Agent is not connected to the lock server. Please check network connectivity between the Agent and the Lock server itself.
- the Agent or Lock Server is paused, or the whole job is paused.
- Lock server is unlicensed with the "File lock" feature. Please check what license package it has assigned and check if this package has "File lock" feature enabled.
- the Agent service is not running, but the Resilio shared locks driver is.
The error is resolved automatically as soon as the limiting factor is eliminated.
Until then, Agents will have limited access to the file, per setting in the job. If necessary, it's possible to elevate the access in runtime without recreating the job or restarting the Agent.
