This error message appears on Windows computers on Agent UI.
Agent UI on a Windows is just an additional component to Resilio Connect Agent service (the main agent process). Agent UI runs as a separate process on a Windows computer and only runs in current user's session, where it was initially installed. Two most common reasons causing this errors are:
- The Agent service is not running. You can open Services and start Resilio Connect Agent Service.
- The Resilio Connect Agent Service is not installed. To fix it, download the MSI installer from download site (not the .exe!) and install it.
- The Resilio Connect Agent service is installed, but it's not available in the user's session where UI runs
Another possible error message is the following
It appears when there are several Resilio Agent UI processes running in other user's sessions. Only one of the processes can connect to the service and render UI. Other processes will give this error. Open Task Manager and make sure that there're no excessive Resilio Agent processes running.
Solution to this error is to stop UI for other user sessions. Agent's UI always keeps trying to connect to the service, therefor, once it's stopped for all excessive sessions, the UI will notice that connection to the service is available and render UI.
